Porter Delmus Mahoney Jr., passed away on November 24, 2023, in Greenville, SC. He was born on January 15, 1948, in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was the widower of Peggy Mahoney and a son of the late Porter Delmus Mahoney Sr. and Helen Palmer Mahoney.

Porter had a natural aptitude for mechanical work and an unwavering love for tinkering with machinery. Through determination and hard work, he pursued a career in computer engineering. Porter dedicated over four decades of his life, working for GE and later IBM in the manufacturing industry. His technical expertise and passion for his profession led him to make significant contributions in his field.

Surviving are two sons, Dale Mahoney of Mountain Rest, and Kelly Mahoney of Easley; also surviving are 6 grandchildren, Andie, Chris, Matthew, Jeff, Elisha, and Laila Mahoney, and one great grandson, Dakoda Mahoney.

In accordance with his wishes no services will be held.
