It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Jason Moore on November 30, 2023, at the age of 50.

Jason’s untimely departure has left a void in the lives of those who loved him dearly.  Born on October 9, 1973, in Easley, South Carolina, Jason Moore lived a life filled with compassion and dedication. He was a son of Debbie Moore and the late Bennie Moore.

He was an exceptional individual who touched countless lives through his role as an Advanced EMT in the healthcare profession. For over 25 years, he selflessly served the community as a valuable member of the Pickens County EMS team. Jason’s passion for helping others was unwavering, and his commitment to his patients was nothing short of extraordinary.

Beyond his professional life, he had a number of passions that brought him joy and fulfillment. He had a knack for the art of smoking meats with wood, showcasing his culinary skills and sharing delicious meals with his loved ones. He cherished time spent with his family.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Jennifer Moore; a son Cody Moore; two stepdaughters, Becca Koch and Christa McGaha; a brother Stephen Moore and his wife Jesica; also surviving are many nieces and nephews. He had a profound love for his family, and he always stood tall as their steadfast protector, just like the strength of an oak tree.

To celebrate Jason’s life and pay tribute to his remarkable legacy, a visitation will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 12:00 until 1:30 pm at the mortuary. Family, friends, and colleagues are invited to come together to honor and remember the incredible person he was. Following the visitation, a memorial service will take place at 2:00 pm, in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel.

**All of Jason’s EMS and First Responder brothers and sisters will have reserved seating.

Jason Moore will forever be remembered as a kind-hearted, selfless individual who touched countless lives during his time on earth. Let us celebrate his life, embracing the memories he leaves behind and finding strength in the love we shared with him. May his soul find eternal peace.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in honor of him to a mental health or suicide prevention organization.

Rest in peace, dear Jason, knowing that you made a difference in this world and that your legacy will continue to inspire all those who were blessed to have known you.
