Marlin Lee Roper, 74, of Diwa Drive, died Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Prisma Health-Baptist Easley Hospital. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late James Garline and Blanche Willette Gibson Roper. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a retired self employed painter. He loved the outdoors, painting, bowling and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his daughter, Farrah Le’Ann Roper of Pendleton; two sisters, Robbie Yates(Dwight) of Liberty and Dianne Gilliland of Easley; a brother, Donnie Roper(Sarah) of Easley; 11 grandchildren; and his fiance, Ramona “Romy” Poston of Dacusville.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to any local food bank.
