Kenneth Brent Merck, a vibrant soul cherished by his loved ones, passed away tragically on October 20, 2023, at the age of 37. Born on February 26, 1986, in Easley, SC, Brent was the life of the party and a truly captivating individual.

Despite the challenges he faced, Brent always found solace in the great outdoors. A passionate hunter and fisherman, he had a deep appreciation for nature’s beauty and the serenity it brought to his heart. Whether he was casting his fishing line on a peaceful lake or tracking game through the woods, Brent’s connection with nature was unparalleled.

Described as a hilarious goofball, Brent had an unmatched ability to light up any room with his infectious laughter and crystal blue eyes. His love for singing and dancing brought immense joy to those around him, as he never missed an opportunity to showcase his entertaining skills. His generous and caring nature further endeared him to family and friends, whose lives he touched with his selflessness and compassion.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Beth Merck, his father, Kim Merck, and his mother, Glynnis Duncan. He will forever remain in the hearts of his daughters, Lizzy Duncan and Gracie Merck, his sons, Michael Lusk and Axxis Merck, his brothers, Cliff Merck, Jimmy Duncan, and Jason Duncan, and a multitude of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Preston and Valerie Merck, and Kenneth and Virginia Gibson.

In honor of his life, a visitation to celebrate Brent’s memory will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Liberty Mortuary from 5:00 until 6:30 pm. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm, in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel, where loved ones will gather to pay their last respects and share treasured memories.

As we gather together to remember Brent’s remarkable life, let us find solace in the joy he brought to each of us. May his laughter, his love, and his infectious spirit illuminate our lives and serve as a reminder to cherish the moments we have with those we hold dear.
