It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Thomas Suter, who departed this life on March 4, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on October 20, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan, he was a son of the late Marita Ford.

Jef was a bright light to all who knew him, embodying the warmth and spirit of a true friend and family member.

His soul was deeply intertwined with music; he found solace and joy in playing the guitar. His passion for music was only rivaled by his love for sports, particularly his unwavering support for Detroit teams-the Red Wings, the Lions, and the University of Michigan. A dedicated darts player, Jef was known in the Pickens community as a spirited competitor and a valued member of the local darts league.

He is survived by his father, Walter W. “Bill” Suter; his brother, Bill Suter (Rebecca); his sister, Laura Crawford (Ed). His presence will be profoundly missed by all who cherished him.  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Jef’s wishes he will be cremated, and the family will host a memorial in his honor at a later date.

Jeffrey Thomas Suter’s spirit will live on through the music he played and the laughter he shared. May he rest in peace, and may we find comfort in the love we have for him.
