James Julius McCall, 67, of Liberty, South Carolina, died Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at his residence. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late William G. “Bill” and Etta Mae Brown McCall.

He retired from KM Fabrics and was of the Baptist faith. James enjoyed fishing, hunting and going to the flea market, but most of all he enjoyed telling funny stories to his friends, family, and anyone who would listen.

Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Lynn McCall of the home; a son, Jamie McCall of Liberty; a daughter, Sandy Yates (Eulas) of Liberty; 3 grandchildren, Mia, Allie, and Mary Marie; his two fur babies, Meme and Noah.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Andrews and Frances Siler, and a brother, William Way “Billy” McCall.

The family will host a memorial service at a later date.

I will miss our frequent phone calls. I enjoyed everytime you called. You are a wonderful friend/cousin and will be greatly missed.

I will miss his big hearted laugh. He was a lot like my brother Nick. They loved to laugh and tell stories. I bet their having lots of laughs right now.
