Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Burton will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends Monday, April 24, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the mortuary. Burial will be at Abbott Cemetery.

Donald Ray Burton, 72, of Liberty, South Carolina, died Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at his residence. Born in Ware Shoals, SC he was  the husband to Evelyn Posey Burton and a son of the late James Paskal and Mildred Brown Burton. Mr. Burton loved to entertain others, especially with his music. He enjoyed spending time with all of his family and was formerly employed at Excalibur Youth Services. He attended The Church of God, Midway in Central.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Mandy Brunson(Bruce) of Henderson, NV and Heatherly Price(Derrick) of Greer; a step-daughter, Sharon Braswell(Robert) of Clemson; a step-son, Johnny Ramey(Ramona) of Ninty-Six; a sister, Cheryl O’Donald of Easley; two brothers, Douglas Burton of Greenville and Harold Burton of Powdersville; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son, Christopher Todd Burton.

The family will be at the home.
