Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Chastain will be conducted 3:00PM Thursday, October 20, 2022 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 until 2:30 PM at the mortuary.

Charles Hamilton Chastain, Jr., 81, of Greenwood, formerly of Easley, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Ashley Place surrounded by his family.

Born in Pickens he was a son of the late Charles Hamilton Sr. and Vera Pace Chastain. He retired from Roadway Express with 37 years of service.

Mr. Chastain was a United States Army veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 52.

Surviving are a daughter, Kaye Thomas (Rev. Jason) of Greenwood; 3 sons, Chuck Chastain of Easley, Tommy Chastain (Sonya) of Easley, and Kenny Chastain (Tracy) of Morganton, NC; 6 grandchildren, Jordan Cumbee (Jared), Erin Dunham (Charlie), Noah Thomas, Eli Thomas, Asher Chastain, and Kaylee Chastain; also surviving are a brother, Billy Joe Chastain (Rhonda) of Williamston.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Peggy Chastain, and a brother, Tommy Chastain.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Anderson County P.A.W.S., 1320 Hwy 29 South, Anderson SC 29626.

The family will be at 107 George Street, Easley SC 29642.
