Charles D. “Chuck” Stewart
Liberty, SC
Born in Liberty, SC he was the widower of Peggy Busha Stewart and a son of the late J.W. “Woody” and Edith Gilstrap Stewart.
Surviving are two daughters; Lynn Palmer (Mike) of Six Mile and Charlotte Lowe of Liberty; a brother, Dale Stewart (Cindy) of Liberty; a sister, Jane Malphurs of Pomona Park, FL; four grandchildren; Michelle Smith, Chris Youngblood (Alison), Tim Youngblood (Katie) and Chelsea Smith (Jason); also surviving are ten great-grandchildren; Karen Youngblood (Josh), Abreigh, Adeline, Abella, Hailey, Emma and Allie Youngblood, Blakely Smith, Gabe Smith, and Bryson Smith (Mariah) and one great-great-granddaughter; Danni.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy and Joe Stewart, and a sister, Eleanor Smith.
Chuck attended Liberty High School and received an Associates degree from Tri County Technical College. He retired from Duke Energy and maintained part time employment with Toyota of Easley up until the time of his death. He was known for his strong work ethic and his dedication to his lifelong hobby of bass fishing. Chuck was loved and respected for his continued desire to provide for his family.
Graveside services to honor the life of Mr. Stewart will be conducted 1:00PM Monday, May 16, 2022 at Liberty Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30AM until 12:30PM Monday at the Liberty Mortuary.
