Funeral services to honor Buddy’s life will be conducted 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Private burial will be at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 until 12:30 PM at the mortuary.
Buddy Dacus, 86, of 414 W. Front Street, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at his home.
Born in Anderson he was a son of the late James Henry Dacus and Emma Yates Dacus McCall. He was a member of Liberty First Baptist Church and a US Army Veteran.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Betty McWhorter Dacus of the home; two sons, Tim Dacus of Liberty, and Benny Dacus (Cindy) of Liberty; a sister, Annie Ruth Phillips of Hartwell, GA; 3 grandchildren, Jacob, Tyler and Adison Dacus.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruby Nell Epps, Faye Carmen, Janet Wheeler, and Frances Nations, and three brothers, James Dacus, and Otis and Clinton Stancil.
