Funeral services to honor Dewayne’s life will be private. No formal visitation will be held however his remains will lie in state from 1:00 until 4:00PM on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at the Liberty Mortuary. A livestream of the service will be available 2:30 PM on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 by visiting his obituary at www.libertymortuary.com.

 

Benjamin Dewayne Reece, 63, of Liberty, South Carolina, died Saturday, January 23, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Greenville, he was a son of Gladys Moore Reece and the late Ernest Edward “Bud” Reece.

 

He was employed by Climate Control, Inc. for over 30 years and was an avid Clemson Tiger Fan and loved to bowl.

 

Surviving in addition to his mother, is his wife of 33 years, Evelyn Reece of the home; 2 sons, Dewayne Reece of Central, and Kenny Reece of Liberty; a brother, Ernest Reece, Jr. of Liberty; 3 sisters, Kay Ramey, Diane Trammell, Pam McConathy all of Liberty; two stepsons, Jason Edens of Pickens, and Ryan Edens of Easley; 6 grandchildren; also surviving is his little companion, Elvis.

 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Brian Dewayne Reece.
