Alvin Wayne Nations, 74, of Central, South Carolina, died Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Pruitt Health & Rehab. Born in Six Mile, he was a son of the late Alvin and Isabell Holiday Nations.

 

Wayne retired from Greenwood Mills and later again from the Public Works Department at the City of Liberty.

 

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Shelby Nations of the home; also surviving are his special cat, Smokey.

 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone at Pruitt Health & Rehab for their care and love shown to Wayne.

 

Due to the current Covid 19 pandemic all services will be private. However, for those wishing to pay their final respects, his remains will lie in state from 1:00 until 5:00PM on Friday, January 15, 2020 at the Liberty Mortuary.

Mrs. Shelby, our hearts go out to you. (I'm one of Kay Anders Sanders's daughters). I always enjoyed you, Wayne, and Carolyn's visits to Mom's shop to get your hair done. Mr. Wayne always seemed quiet but had an enjoyable and friendly smile when he heard you retelling one of y'all's humerous experiences at the Piggly Wiggly. We appreciate you. Our prayers of God's strength go out to you during this sad time. You will always remain in our hearts and fond memories.
