Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Bowie will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 8, 2021, in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. No visitation is planned. Burial will follow at Liberty Memorial Gardens.
Allen Eugene Bowie, 68, of Liberty, South Carolina, died Saturday, December 4, 2021, at his home. Born in Easley, he was a son of the late Lee Albert Bowie and Louise Crumpton Gillespie.
He worked as a Truck Driver for over 40 years. Most of his career he worked at King Trucking in Liberty, SC. He was currently working at MST Concrete Products in Central, SC. He loved the Lord, his family, and most of all his great grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar and bass, working in the garden, and watching football. He also cherished all his lifelong trucking friends.
He leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Vickie Bowie of the home; a daughter, Marsha Alexander (David) of Liberty; three sons, Mitchell Bowie (Dana) of Pickens, Michael Bowie of Easley, and Joshua Bowie of Liberty; a sister, Vicki Taylor; three brothers, Henry, Leonard, and Harold Bowie; 6 grandchildren, Alyssa Bowie, Skye Bowie, Jarred Bowie, Addison Bowie, Jenna Brown (Wyatt), and Regan Alexander; two great grandchildren, Oaklynn and Kayce.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Bowie, his step father, BC Gillespie, his wife’s parents, Melvin and Velma Bradley, and a grandson, Drake Bowie.
