Graveside services to honor the life of Mrs. Trotter will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at New Elam Church Cemetery, 3290 Pea Ridge Road, New Hill NC 27562. No visitation is planned.

Monterey Poole Trotter, 91, of 8 Highland Terrace, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 2, 2018 in Lyman. Born in New Goshen, IN she was the widow of Robert Lacy Trotter, Jr. and a daughter of the late Luther and Millcenia Ridley Poole.

She was a homemaker who spent her time being a wife and mother, and she also enjoyed collecting antiques.

Mrs. Trotter was a member of New Elam Christian Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Deborah Trotter of Liberty; a son, Robert L. Trotter, III of Liberty; a granddaughter, Erika Trotter. She was the last survivor of her immediate family.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the charity of one’s choice.
