Funeral services for Mrs. Greene will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Roanoke Baptist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Roanoke Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mildred Posey Greene, 90, of 112 B Poppy Court, died Monday, September 3, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville. Born in Central, she was the widow of William Franklin Greene and a daughter of the late Wesley and Ethel King Posey. She was retired from Mayfair Mills and was a member of Roanoke Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir.

Surviving are 3 daughters, Linda Greene of the home, Barbara Adcox of Easley and Janet Owens(Richard) of Pickens; 3 sons, Johnny Greene(Nancy) of Pickens, Harold Greene(Kay) of Greenville and Wayne Greene(Debra) of Liberty; a sister, Ressie Black of Seneca; a brother, William Posey of Easley; 22 Grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a son, Mark Greene; 6 sisters, Carolyn Stancil, Pauline Collins, Eloise Gault, Doris Arp, Shelby Posey and Louise McCall; 2 brothers, Clyde and Charles Posey; and 2 granddaughters, Shelia Taylor and Laura Greene.
