Memorial services to honor Matt's life will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, October 24, 2020 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 until 12:30PM at the mortuary. Seating will be limited to 50 people and social distancing will be observed. The family asks that all in attendance wear masks. The livestream of the service will be available by visiting his tribute wall at www.libertymortuary.com.

Matthew Thomas Oglesby, 45, of Liberty, South Carolina, died Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at his home. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late James Thomas Oglesby.

He was a graduate of Easley High School and was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.
Matt loved to hunt and fish, play the banjo, and spend time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his mother and step-father, Jane and Wendell Green of Greenville; a son, Hunter Oglesby of Liberty; a sister, Laura Oglesby Clark (Jessie) of Liberty; a niece, Kaiti Thomas (Logan) of Easley; a nephew, Dean Waldrop of Liberty; also surviving are two great nephews, Asher and Lucas Thomas.
