A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Ross will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday at King’s Grove Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary.
Mack Andrew Ross, 80, of 204 Dan Ross Road died Friday at Baptist Easley Hospital. Born in Six Mile, he was the husband of Donna Burkhalter Ross and a son of the late James Earl and Essie Blackston Ross. He was retired from Platt Saco Lowell and was a member of King’s Grove Baptist Church. For the past 34 years he pulled the chains for the D.W. Daniel High School Lions football team.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 5 daughters, Sherry Ann Maw(Bruce) of Belton, Glenda Morgan of Pickens, Marcie Brooks(Wayne) of Pickens, Amy Barrett(Scott) of Lexington and Donnetta “Cricket” Welborn(Jason) of Easley; 2 sons, Pete Ross(Sherry) of Sunset and Berry Ross(Ray) of Okeechobee, FL; a sister, Mary “Tootsie” Grant of Six Mile; a brother, Jimmy Ross of Six Mile; 26 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son, Doug Ross and his wife Mary; 5 sisters; and 8 brothers.
