Funeral services for Mrs. Hedden will be held Thursday at 2:00PM in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens.
Lydia A. Woods Hedden, 93, of 11 Iselin Street, died Monday at The Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. Born in Franklin, NC, she was the widow of the late Oscar Logan Hedden and a daughter of the late Jess and Alice Franks Woods. She was a homemaker and loved quilting and canning. She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are 7 daughters, Aline Hopkins of Arkansas, Evelyn Cantrell of Walhalla, Mamie Aiken of Liberty, Ethel Coffeen of Arizona, Nona McAlister of West Union, Sylvia Linkus of Pennsylvania, and Linda Rewhalt of Arizona; 2 sons, Horace Hedden of Ohio, and Wade Hedden of Easley; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by 2 daughters, Dorothy Norris and Lavarne Hedden; a son, Harry Hedden; a sister, Ruby Houston; and a brother Earl Woods.
