Lucille Posey Hunter

Funeral services to honor Mrs. Hunter’s life will be 11:00 AM Tuesday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the mortuary.

Lucille Posey Hunter, 82, of 207 Apple Drive, died Friday, July 26, 2013 at the Hospice House in Anderson. Born in Liberty she was a daughter of the late Walter and Lucy Smith Posey.

She worked at Woodside Mill and T.E. Jones & Sons of Liberty. She attended Golden Grove Wesleyan Church. She loved sewing, gardening and crafts of all kinds.

Surviving are her husband, John B. Hunter, Sr. of the home; a son, Bennett Hunter (Judy) of Liberty; three daughters, Kathy Smith (Greg) of Easley, Leesa Brothers (Bill) of Liberty, and Tracie Hunter of Central; a brother, Melvin Posey of Liberty; three grandchildren, Sandee Smith, William Brothers (Chelsea), and Kimberly Hunter; 8 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Ella Louise Posey, and two brothers, Raymond Paul Posey and Walter Posey, Jr..
