Funeral services for Mr. Breazeale will be held at 3:00 PM Monday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:30 until 2:45 PM at Liberty Mortuary.
Loyd J. Breazeale, 91, of 262 Concord Church Road in Pickens died Friday at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville. Born in Greenville, he was the widower of Marie Reinhardt Breazeale and a son of the late Eugene and Hallie Jones Breazeale. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He loved farming, gardening, woodworking and doing all types of yard work. He previously was the owner of Community Laundry and Dry Cleaning but later retired from Michelin as head of security. He was also a longtime member of Secona Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Annarose Garrett of Pickens; 3 granddaughters, Eve Sheriff, Angie Dorr and Terri Owens; and his great grandchildren, Haley, Mark, Katie and Cassie.
He was predeceased by his great grandson, Kyle Brannock, who was like a son to him. In addition he was predeceased by a son, Allen Breazeale; a brother, Carl Breazeale; and his great granddaughters, Casey and Courtney Brannock.
