Linda Howe Ernst

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ernst will be 3:00 PM Sunday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday prior to the service at the mortuary from 1:30 until 2:45 PM.

Linda Howe Ernst, 68, of 4001 Turnberry Loop, formerly of Liberty, passed away peacefully at home, Thursday, March 17, 2011 surrounded by her family. Born in Liberty she was a daughter of the late William Ralph “Bud” and Minnie Lee Alexander Howe.

Mrs. Ernst was a 1960 graduate of Liberty High School, and later retired from Bellsouth. She was a member of Seneca Baptist Church, and the Coed 5 Sunday School Class.

Surviving are her husband, Jack Ernst of the home; a daughter, April Davis and her husband Steven of Easley; a son, Mark Ernst and his wife Melanie of Seneca; a sister, Becky McLean and her husband Hugh of Honea Path; two brothers, Larry Howe and his wife Lynn, and James Howe all of Greenville; two grandchildren, Drew and Austin Ernst both of Seneca; three brothers in law and two sisters in law, Wayne and Pat Ernst of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Vern and Maria Mercer of North Lauderdale, Fl, and Sam and Phyllis Catoe of Round Rock, TX; two sisters in law, Delores McGee of Tampa, FL, and Julie Catoe of O’Brien, FL.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Polly Cantrell, and a brother in law, Bill Mercer.
