Joseph Avery Morgan, 67, of 725 Mountain Estates Road, died Thursday, May 1, 2014 at his residence. Born in Rosman, NC, he was a son of the late Avery and Verle Galloway Morgan. He loved spending time outdoors gardening. He attended Midway Baptist Church and East Pickens Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Janice Todd and her husband Calvin of Pickens; a son, Joe “Pee Wee” Morgan of Pickens; a sister, Josie Feno of Pickens; a brother, Jerry Morgan of Pickens; 4 grandchildren, Nicole Patterson, Joey Lesley, Joseph J.W. Todd and Michelle Morgan; and a great granddaughter, Averyleigh Grace Lesley.
A gathering to honor the life of Mr. Morgan will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 10, 2014 at his residence.
