John Franklin Myers, 86, of 139 Alta Vista Drive, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at his residence. Born in York, Pennsylvania, he was the husband of Ruth Jacob Myers of the home and a son of the late Robert and Clara Humbert Myers. Mr. Myers was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during the Korean War. He was retired from Carolina Handling and was a member of Calumet Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Judy Conley(John) of Clinton, Michigan; 2 sons, Jeffrey Myers(Theresa) of Charlotte, North Carolina and Jack Myers(Lisa) of Liberty; a brother, Robert Myers of Florida; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by 1 sister and 1 brother.
The family will be at the home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Susque Boys Camp:47 Susque Road Trout Run, PA 17771 or The Good News Club: Children’s Evangelism Fellowship PO Box 575 Taylors, SC 29687.
