Funeral services for Mr. Hendricks will be held at 2:00pm Sunday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Liberty Mortuary. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Wesleyan Church Cemetery.

John Franklin Hendricks, 86, of Stewart Road, died Thursday at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville. Born in Pickens, he was the widower of the late L. Ruvelle Pilgrim Hendricks and a son of the late George Raymond and Bertie Mae Parrott Hendricks. He was retired from Singer in Pickens and loved “Pickin and Grinnin” and the Seniors of Pickens. He also attended Mt. Olivet Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are 3 sons, George Hendricks(Hester) of Easley, Dock Hendricks(Linda) and Jimmy(Edith) both of Six Mile; 2 sisters, Helen Orr of Pickens and Becky Singleton of Greenville; 2 brothers, Vando Hendricks of Six Mile and Mearle Hendricks of Pickens; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a son, James Hampton Hendricks; 2 sisters, Vera Reed and Onieda Mathis; and 5 brothers, James, Lawrence, Marvin, Elton and Junior Hendricks;and a grandson, Michael L. Hendricks.
