John Arthur Cornelius, 61, of 113 Bradley Drive, died Tuesday at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. Born in Sanger, CA, he was the husband of Judy Gossett Cornelius of the home and a son of the late Cecil and Geraldine White Cornelius. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 daughters, Tammy Hanham of Fort Smith, AR and Shelly Henson of Key West FL; a step daughter, Mikki Pirkle of Easley; a brother, Richard Cornelius of North Highlands, CA; 4 grandchildren, Kaetlynn Hudson, Breyhdunn Hudson, Darren Gillespie and Caleb Gillespie; and 1 great grandchild, Kaidence Hudson.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by 2 sisters, Sharon Morton and Shirley Hodges.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Ruhamah Baptist Church C/O Roy Moore 1610 Red Barn Road Liberty, SC 29657 or Rainey Hospice House 1835 Rogers Road Anderson, SC 29621.
