Jo Alexander Harvey

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Harvey will be 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Ella Jo Alexander Harvey, 76, of 354 Oakvale Drive, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26, 2013 at her residence. Born in Liberty she was a daughter of the late Louie and Dolly Nix Alexander.

She worked at Saco Lowell and later worked for many years as a greeter at Wal-Mart. She loved spending time with family and cooking. She was a member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Jerry P. Harvey of the home; three daughters, Rita Gaillard (Bill), Melba Seawright (Wayne), and Sherry Van Hook (Mark) all of Easley; a son, Dale Harvey (Nichole) of Fountain Inn; two brothers, Clarence Alexander of Liberty, and Kenneth Alexander of Pickens; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

The family will be at the home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pendleton Street Baptist Church, 601 S. Pendleton Street, Easley SC 29640, or Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson SC 29621.
