A memorial service to honor Eric’s life will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:30 until 3:00 PM at Liberty Mortuary.
Jeffrey Eric Smith, 43, of 101 West Court Street, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015 at his residence. Born in Pickens, he was the son of Parker Randol and Teresa Smith of Six Mile and the late Sharon Ann Maxey. He was a 1990 graduate of Liberty High School, attended Anderson University and was a member of Golden Creek Baptist Church. He loved bicycling, motorcycles and racing and was a co-partner with Greenville Motorcycle Inc. in Spartanburg. He was also a Peace Keeper with The Peace Center in Greenville and enjoyed attending events there with his family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his father and step mother are two sisters, Angie Howard and Kailey Smith of Six Mile; a brother, Matthew Smith of Six Mile; several aunts and uncles, Sheila and David Tinsley of Liberty, Rev. Mike and Gail Dobson of Pendleton, John Maxey of Norris, Donnie and Susan Smith of Easley and Calvin Smith of Six Mile; three nephews, Cayden, Tucker and Elijah Howard all of Six Mile; and extended family.
In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by a step mother, Kathi Riggins Smith.
The family will be at the home of his sister, Angie Howard, 461 Belle Shoals Road Six Mile, SC 29682. Floral arrangements are appreciated but memorials may also be made to a college fund for his three nephews by visiting any First Citizens Bank or mailed to First Citizens Bank, PO Box 398 Central, SC 29630 and deposit it under the name of Angela S. Howard FBO Cayden, Tucker and Elijah Howard.
