Graveside services to honor the life of Mr. Wood will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday at Liberty Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:45 PM prior to the service at Liberty Mortuary.

Jackie Lee Wood, 58, of Cloverdale Court died Monday, December 2, 2013 at Tampa University Hospital. Born in Gaffney, SC, he was the husband of Linda Burgos Wood of the home and a son of the late Thomas and Ada Smith Wood. He was a Baptist by faith and a loving family man. Jack was a beloved husband, loving father and adoring grandfather, known to the little ones as “Papa Jack.”

Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 daughters, Sarena Elgin(Daryl) of Pickens and Nicole Hendren(Tom) of Land O’Lakes, FL; 2 step daughters, Michele Cacciatore of Lutz, FL and Maureen Sunde(Eric) of Tampa, FL; a step son, Michael Childress(Tanya) of Oldsmar, FL; a sister, Caroline Wood of Greenville, a brother, Bobby Wood of Greenville; and 6 grandchildren, Austin and Noah Elgin, Parker Hendren, Michael Ferrell, Vincent Sunde and Livia Childress.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by 2 brothers, Tommy and Tony Wood.
