Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Clardy will be 1:00 PM Saturday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 until 12:45 PM at the mortuary.
JP “Doodlebug” Clardy, 74, of 111 Simpson Street, passed away, Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Born in Liberty he was a son of the late Charlie H. and Nannie Mae Swords Clardy.
He owned and operated Clardy’s Garage in Liberty for many years, prior to that he worked at Tinsley Chevrolet in Pickens and Crane Chevrolet in Easley. He was a member of Liberty Church of God.
Surviving are his wife, Pat Clardy of the home; three brothers, Charles Clardy of Easley, Buddy and Robert Clardy both of Liberty; numerous nieces and nephew.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister and four brothers.
The family will be at the home. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060 or the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville SC 29615.
