Henry Roman, 88, entered into eternal rest, Thursday, August 18, 2011 at The Haven in Greenville.
Born in Redwood City, California he was the widower of Mary Moya Roman and a son of the late Antonio and Rosario Alvarez Roman.
He owned and operated Roman Heating & Air for many years in California. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II, was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and was a former president and lifetime member of The Palo Alto Municipal Golf Club.
Surviving are a daughter and son in law, Robin & Jim Diffenderfer of Liberty, SC; three grandchildren, Jim Diffenderfer, II, and Tom and Angela Diffenderfer; three great grandchildren, Justin McGowan, and Kaitlin & Travis Diffenderfer.
In addition to his wife and parents he was predeceased by a son, Henry Scott Roman.
Cryptside services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, August 22, 2011 at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Los Altos, California. No formal or local visitation is planned. Alameda Family Funeral Home in Saratoga is handling services in California.
