Helen Porter Moore

Graveside services to honor Mrs. Moore’s life will be 1:30 PM Monday at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Central. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 until 1:00 PM at the Liberty Mortuary.

Helen Porter Moore, 84, of 3 Jackson Street, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Baptist Easley Hospital. Born in Greenville she was the widow of Clyde D. Moore, and a daughter of the late James and Mary Morgan Porter.

She was retired from Emtex Textiles, and was a member of Liberty Church of God.

Surviving are three daughters, Deborah Freeman of Lowell, NC, Mary Lesley of Liberty, and Carol Moore of Easley; two sons, Randall Moore of Gray Court, and Robert Moore of Liberty; a sister, Betty Jo Shirley of Liberty; a brother, Jimmy Porter of Greenville; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Bailey, and Shirley Gillespie, a brother, Willie Porter, and a grandchild, Drew Lesley.

The family will be at 910 Old Liberty Road, Easley.
