Graveside services to honor the life of Ms. Dodgens will be held at 11:00 Wednesday at Mt. Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends and family following the service.
Hazel Arlene Nix Dodgens, 74, of 138 Rosemond Street died Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Redeemer Health & Rehab in Pickens. Born in Pickens, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Reece Nix. She was retired from Ryobi and was a member of Mt. Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are 3 sons, Richard Dodgens and his wife Joyce, Maurice Dodgens and his wife Patricia and Keith Dodgens and his wife Robyn all of Pickens; 3 sisters Christine Julian of Easley, Gladys Looper of Pickens and Brenda Walker of Westminster; 2 brothers, Clarence Nix of Pickens and Calvin Nix of Saluda; 6 grandchildren, Johnathan, Billy, Curtis, Abigail and Emma Dodgens, and Rebecca Myers; and 5 great grandchildren, Braxton, Wyatt, Wesley, Hadley and Ashley.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by 2 sisters, Lois Porter and Lillian Holcombe.
