Graveside services to honor the life of Mr. Harris will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Graceland Cemetery East. Reverend Malcolm Rice, Sr. will be conducting the service.
Harvey Glen Harris, 77, of 216 W. Carolina Avenue, died Monday at his residence. Born in Tupelo, MS, he was the widower of Addie Curry Harris and a son of the late Charles and Mattie Sappington Harris. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was retired from Con/Way Trucking Company. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #151 and the Easley Moose Lodge. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Wanda Arrington of the home and Glenda Tallant and her husband Stan of Oxford, MS; 2 sons, Tim Whitten and his wife Dorothy and Tony Whitten both of Easley; a sister, Edna Spain of Tupelo, MS; a brother, Charles Harris of Morganton, KY; a special longtime friend, Irene DiCataldo; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by 3 sons, Curtis, Wayne and Allan Harris; a sister Edith; a brother Leroy; and a special longtime friend, Norman DiCataldo.
