Funeral services to honor Mrs. Campbell’s life will be 11:00 AM Thursday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Geneva Mae Goodwin Campbell, 84, of 716 E. Cedar Rock Street, formerly of Liberty, died Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Manna Health & Rehab. Born in Greenville she was the widow of George R. Campbell, Jr. and a daughter of the late James D. and Olivia Mahaffey Goodwin.
She was a member of Liberty First Baptist Church, and the Bible Study Class. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are two sons, James Moore and his wife Janice of Liberty, and George Thomas Campbell of Fountain Inn; a niece, Glenda Alexander and her husband Doug of Pickens; a sister, Frances Capps of Columbia; a sister in law, Elizabeth Goodwin of Easley; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death three brothers, Clyde, J.P., and Rob Goodwin, and a sister, Geraldine Goodwin.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Active Adult Daycare, 102 West Main Street, Liberty SC 29657.
The family will be at the home of James and Janice Moore, 2445 Greenville Highway, Liberty SC 29657.
