Funeral services to honor Mrs. Hawkins life will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Pickens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Liberty Mortuary.
Frances Roper Hawkins, 74, of 302 Old Norris Road, died Saturday, July 20, 2013 at her home. Born in Gainesville, GA she was the widow of Horace Hawkins and a daughter of the late Elbert V. and Viola Chapman Roper. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Jane Leopard (Randy) of Liberty; a son, Russell Hawkins of Liberty; a sister, Judy Patterson; four brothers, Garnett, Doyle, Delmar, and John Roper; two grandchildren, Lily Leopard and Thomas Hawkins, also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be at 306 Old Norris Road, Liberty SC. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson SC 29621.
