Floyd Lee Ramey

Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Ramey will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Liberty Church of God of Prophecy, 373 Black Bottom Road, Liberty SC. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Liberty Mortuary. Burial will be at Westview Cemetery.

Floyd Lee Ramey, 61, of 122 Patterson Road passed away peacefully, Tuesday July 15, 2014 at his residence after a 4 year courageous battle with cancer. Born in Pickens, he was the husband of Carolyn Kay Reece Ramey of the home and a son of the late Roy and Lula Bell Barton Ramey. He was retired from Climate Control and loved watching all types of racing. He also loved attending church at Liberty Church of God of Prophecy.

Surviving in addition to his wife are 4 daughters, Lisa James(Rex) of Spartanburg, Terri White(Tony) of Pickens, Christine Burgess(Cal) of Cleveland and Becky Ramey Martin(Robbie) of Central; a son, Daryl Hellams(Taffie) of Liberty; 3 sisters, Dorothy Kelly, Lola Rowland and Carolyn McCall all of Liberty; a brother, Michael Ramey of Liberty; 12 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by 2 sisters, Patricia Leard and Thelma Burns; a brother, James Ramey; and a great granddaughter, Jadyn Harris.
