Eunice Roberta Stancel Summerall Newton, 78, of Jackson Street, died Friday at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Walhalla, she was the widower of the late Hansel Summerall, Sr. and a daughter of the late Jess and Cora Lee Aiken Stancel. She was retired from Alice Manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Polly Ann Cole of Easley and Barbara Phagan of Greenville; 6 sons, David Summerall of Pelzer, Jessie, Marshall and James Summerall all of Easley, Harold Summerall of Greenville and Hansel Summerall, Jr. of Piedmont; a sister, Jody Aiken of Liberty; a brother, Earl Stancil of Easley; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her first husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Jeff Summerall; and 2 brothers, Leroy and J.C. Stancel.
