Funeral services to celebrate Ethan’s life will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at East Side Baptist Church by Reverend Joshua Hughes and Reverend Mark Kannarney. Ethan Wayne Brown, 28, of Liberty, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, April 23, 2021 following a courageous battle with Neurofibromatosis (NF2), a genetic disease that effects your nervous system.
Born in Greenville, Ethan graduated from Liberty High School in 2010 and was a member of East Side Baptist Church. After being diagnosed with his illness in 2008 he never looked back. His strong faith inspired so many, he was blessed with a loving and supportive network of family, friends, and caregivers. He never let his illness hold him back from experiencing all life had to offer.
He was blessed to meet many people thru his travels and participate in numerous excursions all around the country. A simple visit to his room would be inspiration to many just seeing his many hunting trophies. The Outdoor Dream Foundation held a special place for Ethan, Brad Jones and all the volunteers who gave him an opportunity to create so many special memories.
There are so many people to thank, and please know that Ethan loved you all. A very special thank you to his East Side Baptist Church Family and the staff of Upstate Maternal Fetal Medicine for all your love and support.
Surviving are his parents, Rick and Jan Brown of the home; his grandparents, Gary Whitlock, and Jerry & Edith Brown all of Liberty; his aunt, Kelley Cox of Liberty; two uncles, Scott Whitlock (Teresa) of Liberty, and Randy Brown (Tracy) of Easley; his loving cousins, Matt Brown (Robin), Melanie Atkins (Dustin), Hailey Maus (Michael), Kayla McClain (Jonathan), and Kristen Cox (Charldon); a special brother, Keylen Rice, and a special big brother, Ian Desmond; also surviving are very special friends, Sam and Angie Kelly.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Bonnie Whitlock. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Outdoor Dream Foundation, www.outdoordream.org, PO Box 802, Anderson SC 29622. The family will be at the home, 198 Holcombe Drive, Liberty SC 29657.

I w have NF1 and Ethan and I both love baseball in through that began a friendship and messaged each other quite a bit back and forth on Facebook. Casey Cease with Lucid books and I'm so thankful that Ethan was able to get his book finished before the Lord called him home. I talked to Ethan about meeting up for a baseball game possibly for the Astros playing the Rockies I'm a huge Astros fan but I'm also a big fan of Ian Desmond and I got to meet him a few years ago he shared with me and special friendship connection with Ethan. When I saw that God called Ethan home my heart broke half of the tears were of sadness that I never had the privilege to meet him in person but the other half were tears of joy because I know that NF didn't win because Ethan doesn't have NF anymore he's running the streets of gold any no longer is praying for me but talking to Jesus face to face. Ethan I love you brother and I'll see you when the Lord calls me home.

I discovered all of Ethan’s accomplishments when I purchased and read his book. Despite his disease Ethan didn’t let it hold him back. He loved and in return many loved him. I know he will be missed more than words can ever say. Please know y’all are and will continue to be in my prayers.

DearFamily, You and Ethan bore this burden with such courage and faith until the end. I am not happy that Ethan is no longer with us, but he has lived his life to inherit the best eternal home with Jesus. Grandmother Bonnie and Ethan did not become angels.
God created angels as angels,,
but have new bodies and await our joining them. My first granddaughter Courtney, born May 22 ,'83 is there too. May God comfort you and sustain you in your grief. I know it isn't easy. You have been faithful , amazing Christians!! You are loved, as was your wonderful son!! ❤ his book. I reread part of it last night.
