Elizabeth Riggins “Lib” Young

Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Young will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 until 1:45 PM at the mortuary. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Elizabeth Riggins “Lib” Young, 68, of 259 Riggins Road Passed away peacefully, Sunday May 13, 2012 at her residence. Born in Pickens, she was a daughter of Ressie Dodson Riggins of Pickens and the late George Riggins. She loved spending time with her family, cooking and working in her yard. She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving in addition to her mother are four sons, Harold Young and his wife Missy of Six Mile, Bobby Young and his wife Cathy of Pickens, Barry Young and his wife Donna of Six Mile and Scott Young of Pickens; four sisters, Lucille McCollum, Avanell Hendricks and Catherine Patterson all of Pickens and Sarah Trotter of Pumpkintown; six grandchildren, T.J., Amy and Hunter Young, Catherine Wagner, Kerrie Crowe and April Edwards; three great grandchildren, Logan and Chloe Crowe and Abby Edwards.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her husband Tommy Joe Young; and a brother Charles Riggins.
