Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Ladd will be held at 2:00 PM Monday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens. A visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Liberty Mortuary.
Winona Elisabeth “Lib” Fincannon Ladd, 73, of 122 Shannon Wood Road, passed away peacefully Wednesday at Palmetto Richland Hospital in Columbia. Born in Central, she was the widow of Elmer William Ladd and a daughter of the late William Aures and Cora Harris Fincannon. She was a member of International Praise in Elgin where she loved singing in the Senior Adult Choir.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Sheala Owen of Liberty and Pam Warren(Joel) of Easley; 4 sons, Rodney Ladd(Judy) of Cateechee, Randall Ladd of Elgin, Roger Ladd(Shawanna) of Liberty and Shaun Ladd(Heather) of Columbia; 5 sisters, Lou Ellen Hughes of Central, Melvalee Hughes of Six Mile, Katheryn Kelley of Six Mile, Lula Jones of Toccoa, GA and Betty Garvin of Seneca; 3 brothers, Harold Fincannon of Myrtle Beach, Marion Fincannon of Seneca and Rev. Carles Fincannon of Saluda; 14 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by 3 brothers, Thomas, Welford and Jimmy Fincannon.
The family will be at their respective homes but they will also be gathering following the visitation on Sunday and the funeral on Monday, at Bryant Lodge on Thomas Lane, Central, SC on the SWU Campus. Liberty Mortuary is handling arrangements. www.libertymortuary.com
