Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Marchbanks will be 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Roanoke Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Eddie Bernice Nations Marchbanks, 97, of 420 N. Fish Trap Road, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at her home.
Born in Anderson she was the widow of A.B. Marchbanks and a daughter of the late James Edward and Margaret Smith Nations.
Mrs. Marchbanks was a member of Roanoke Baptist Church, loved her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid baseball fan.
Surviving are a daughter, JoAnn Parsons of Easley; a sister, Imogene Moore of Six Mile; a brother, Quenteen “Jigs” Nations of Six Mile; 16 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Margaret Eloise Marchbanks, and two sons, Ambers Doyle Marchbanks and Furman Dean Marchbanks.
