Memorial services to honor the life of Mr. Chapman will be 3:00 PM Sunday at East Side Baptist Church. The family will greet with friends following the service.
Earl “Mutt” Chapman, 86, of 14 Alexander Street, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. Born in the East Fort Community of North Carolina he was a son of the late John F. and Pearl Powell Chapman.
He retired from the Pickens County School District and was a member of East Side Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Bobbie Medlock Chapman of the home; a son, Steve Chapman and his wife, Sandra of Six Mile; three grandchildren, Brian Chapman Stephanie Hendershott, and Matthew Chapman; a great granddaughter, Haile Champman.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family and was preceded in death by 2 sons, Jackie and Dean Chapman.
The family will be at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson SC 29621.
