Doris Ann Howard Rowland, 54, of 303 Old Easley-Pickens Highway, died Thursday at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville. Born in Pickens, she was the wife of Michael Rowland of the home and a daughter of the late Gabriel Benson and Esther Ellenburg Howard. She had previously worked at Rosemond Nursing Center in Pickens and loved fishing, gardening and playing with her grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Crystal Rowland of Pickens; 2 sons, Michael Rowland, II of Pickens and Mickey Rowland of Easley; a sister, Dorothy Hendricks of Easley; a brother, Robert Howard of Six Mile; and 3 grandchildren, Kane, Aubrey, and Nicole Rowland.
