Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Gantt will be 11:00 AM Monday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Entombment will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Charles Kenneth “Teddy Bear” Gantt, 74, of 316 Summit Drive, died Friday, April 05, 2013 at Regency Hospital in Greenville. Born in Six Mile he was a son of the late Eudie and Marie Finley Gantt.
He was a 1957 Graduate of Liberty High School, and worked in construction for many years. He was a member of Rice’s Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Smith Gantt of the home; two daughters, Kay Starnes and her husband, Dr. Mitchell Starnes of Liberty, and Rita Gantt of Greenville; a son, Chuck Gantt and his wife Alison of Pickens; a sister, Martha Holden; two brothers, Billy Joe and Emmett Gantt; 6 grandchildren, Corey Addington, Brittany Cleveland, Anna Edwards, Jacob Gantt, Kristen Starnes, and Savannah Gantt.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Addington, one brother, Edward Gantt, and three sisters, Geneva Allamon, Nell Carman, and Sue McJunkin.
In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to Pickens County Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 184, Easley SC 29641.
