Bowen Dalford “Bo” Brooks, 89, of 1850 Crestview Road, died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Capstone Health & Rehab. Born in Pickens he was the widower of Maybel Wardlaw Brooks and a son of the late George Washington and Maggie Morgan Brooks.
He was a painter for many years. He loved spending time with his family and he loved to whistle.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy Pritchett (Bill) of Dallas, NC; two sons, Larry Brooks (Jan) of Gastonia, NC, and Billy Brooks (Kim) of Kings Mountain, NC; three step daughters, Doris Holcombe of Liberty, Betty Plumbley of Easley, and Joyce York of Norris; a sister, Nell Posey of Greenville; a brother, Ray Brooks of Easley; 26 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a son, Henry Lee Brooks, two step daughters, Susie Black and Faye Stegall, 4 sisters, and 3 brothers.
