Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Pilgrim will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Maranatha Baptist Church. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at Maranatha Baptist Church. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Bernice Reeves Pilgrim, 83, of 959 Breazeale Road, died Tuesday in Liberty. Born in Pickens, she was the wife of Nelson Wayne Pilgrim of the home and a daughter of the late Thomas and Nora Gravely Reeves. She was a hairdresser for over 50 years and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are 3 sons, Charles “C.W.” Pilgrim, Randall Pilgrim and Scottie Pilgrim all of Liberty; a brother, Thomas Reeves of Pickens, 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a daughter, Melinda Davis; and a twin sister, Beatrice Johnson.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Providence Care Hospice, especially Angel Surett and Jessica Gasque for the love and care they gave to Mrs. Pilgrim.
