Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, February 25, 2022 at Hillcrest Memorial Park by Reverend Dr. Ray Longenecker. No formal visitation is planned.

 

Frances O. Aiken James, 96, of Easley, South Carolina, died Monday, February 21, 2022 at the home of her son. Born in Pickens, she was the widow of the late Charles Mitchell James and a daughter of the late William “Will” Aiken, Jr. and Mary Lou Simpson Aiken.

 

She retired from Glenwood Mills and was of the Baptist faith.

 

Surviving are a son, Stanley James (Laurel) of the home; 2 grandchildren, Mitch James (Kathy) of Liberty, and Mike James (Dee) of Easley; five great grandchildren, Lauren Taylor (Erin), Charlie James (Shannon), Taylor Walden (Zack), Max James, and Michael James; also surviving is a great-great grandson, Rhett James.

 

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
