Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Ramey will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, August 31, 2022 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial at Boones Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Salem, SC will follow the service at 2:30 PM on Wednesday. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the mortuary.

Willis Steve Ramey, 72, of Dacusville, South Carolina, died Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Prisma Health-Baptist Easley Hospital following an extended illness.

Born in Walhalla, he was a son of the late Steve and Inez Cannon Ramey.

He was a carpenter for many years. His hobbies included watching westerns, gambling, horseback riding, and piddling with something.

Surviving are 3 daughters, Angela Ramey of Easley, Crystal Posey of Elgin, and Sheila Ramey of Greenville; 2 sons, Will Ramey and David Howard both of Liberty; a sister, Betsy Lee of Maryland; a brother in law, Ed Waddell of Easley; also surviving are several grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Essie and Bonnie, and a brother Willie.
