Kent Ross Mayfield, 83, of Easley, South Carolina, died Sunday, December 18, 2022 at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Piedmont, he was the widower of Velma Mayfield and a son of the late Larkin Sr. and Lillie Mae Hill Mayfield.
He owned and operated Mayfield Heating Air for over 50 years. He was a Major with the South Carolina State Guard.
Surviving is a sister, Ann Nabors (Ralph) of Easley; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Ross Mayfield, a grandson, Kenny Ray Mayfield, and two brothers, Troy Douglas Mayfield and Larkin Mayfield, Jr.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Memory Gardens in Clemson.
