Jim Freeman
Easley, SC
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Vaughn “Jim” Freeman, who left this world on February 8, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on April 25, 1950, in Jackson, TN, he was a son of the late James Herman and Doris Branch Freeman.
James lived a life full of passion, love, and devotion that touched everyone he met.
He was a dedicated father to his two sons, Jay Freeman (Kayla) and Ben Freeman (Missy), who were the apples of his eye. He was also a loving brother to his sisters, Patricia Little, Cindie Hanie, and Connie Prince. He took great pride in his family and was a guiding light in their lives. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Brianna, Hannah, and Tanner, and his beloved grand-dogs, Penny and Cotton.
As a Medical Education Administrator at Greenville Memorial Hospital, Jim devoted his career to helping others. His passion for learning extended beyond his profession-he was an Elvis Presley fanatic with an impressive knowledge of Presidential history. Whether discussing historical events or sharing his love for Elvis’s music, his enthusiasm was contagious and sparked joy in those around him.
A man of deep faith, James found solace in his religious beliefs and could always be found watching one of Charles Stanley’s sermons. His spirituality and kindness made him a pillar of strength for his family and friends, always ready with a listening ear or words of encouragement.
No local services are planned, but he will be laid to rest at Ridgecrest Cemetery in Jackson, TN. There will be a visitation on April 26, 2026 at Arrington Funeral Directors, in Jackson.
In this time of grief, let us hold onto the bright memories of James Vaughn Freeman, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
